Today

National Say Something Nice Day

The purpose of this holiday is to counteract bullying and the lack of civility and common courtesy that is growing among people in today’s world. Hopefully, the practice of saying something nice today will continue into all tomorrows.

D-Day Remembrance

British D-Day veterans arrive for the Service of Remembrance at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Bayeux in Normandy, France, June 6, 2019. The veterans remembered their friends who died storming Hitler's Atlantic Wall on June 6, 1944.

National Cancer Survivors Day

National Cancer Survivors Day is a secular holiday celebrated on the first Sunday in June primarily in the United States of America.

National Apple Strudel Day

In German, the word strudel means whirlpool or eddy. This tasty dessert is perfectly described by its German language as the sweet mixture of fruit, sugar, spices, and layers of thin dough rolled together and baked. The result is a bubbling, flaky treat.

International Picnic Day

June 18 celebrates International Picnic Day. Indeed picnics are a French invention, dining under the sky with a little wine, cheese, bread, and fruit.

Father’s Day

Father's Day is a day of honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society.

International Day of Yoga

The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.

National Take Your Dog to Work Day

National Take Your Dog to Work Day began in 1999 as a way to celebrate companion dogs and to encourage adoptions. Having your dog at work with you all day may make it a little tough to get all of your tasks done. But having the dog with you may allow you to interact with your coworkers in a whole new way, as the dog is a great icebreaker.

All American Pet Photo Day

All American Pet Photo Day encourages pet owners to share their favorite pet photos on July 11th. Be sure to charge your camera and be prepared to take adorable pictures of your pets!
