Katie Risher Receives UF Superior Accomplishment Award
Katie Risher, Assistant Director of the Conference Department, is a recipient of the University of Florida’s Superior Accomplishment Award. This program is designed to recognize outstanding faculty and staff for their dedication to their jobs and for going above and beyond to advance the mission of our great university and serve the community at-large.
Katie is being recognized for her resiliency and ability to overcome adversity while achieving unprecedented success in a year in which she was short-staffed and over-committed. Her professionalism, dedication to excellence, and efforts to go above and beyond ensured she met her client’s expectations and that her team was successful. She demonstrated her commitment to the university and the Office of Professional and Workforce Development through her willingness to come in early, stay late, and work weekends to ensure every client was taken care of and that each event was successful. It was her sheer determination, can-do attitude, hard work, and resourcefulness that pushed her to achieve outstanding results and resounding praise from her clients.
“I am so very proud of Katie and all she has had to overcome,” said UF OPWD Director, Andy Campbell. “[She] demonstrated the character traits most coveted in leadership – accountability, adaptability, confidence, focus, and stability. She is an amazing talent and is most deserving of this award!”
Please join us in congratulating Katie on this amazing recognition!
