TREEO Represented at Orlando Safety Conferences in September
UF TREEO exhibited at two safety conferences in September, VPPPA Safety+ and ACFS Safety Day, both in Orlando, FL. They were a great opportunity to catch up with current students, speak with members of the workforce about their safety training needs, and learn about new products from vendors. At both conferences we polled attendees to find out which training courses they need to ensure they do their jobs safely and further their careers. These polling results will aid us in creating a 2024 training schedule that is directly catered to workforce needs.
These conferences were certainly not all work and no play. We had the pleasure of sharing a booth with our friends at the Volunteer State Community College OTI Ed center at the VPPPA conference. Post conference, we held our annual mini golf competition, which was won by VSCC’s OTIEC Director, Kris Woodmore. We’re coming for you next year, Kris! At ACFS Safety Day, Gatorland had alligators available for attendees to take a photo with. Unexpected at a safety conference, but a unique experience to say the least!
We would like to thank Draeger, who sent us home from the VPPPA Safety+ conference with brand new full face and half face respirators to use in the show and tell portion of our Asbestos, HAZWOPER, and Health & Safety courses. Donations like this help to showcase the latest PPE options available to our students.
