Virtual Lab Tour Competition

Attention universities and small businesses! We invite you to submit a virtual tour of your lab facilities to the PAINE Virtual Lab Tour Competition.

The primary objective of this competition is to showcase your organization’s lab facilities to the PAINE community, thereby raising awareness of your “facilities and capabilities” among industry, government, and universities for potential collaborations. Participants will create a maximum 4-minute video that highlights their lab space and facilities. The video may also provide a high-level overview of the lab’s application to some major projects. A single winner, as determined by a vote during the conference, will be announced by e-mail and online shortly after the conference. The winner will be additionally recognized in-person with a prize at next year’s event. At this time, the Virtual Lab Tour Competition is open only to universities and small businesses.

Here are some important details:

The video must be no longer than 4 minutes in length, and the video must be posted to YouTube.

A link to the YouTube video shall be sent to the persons identified below. The deadline for submitting the final YouTube link is 5:00 pm local conference time the day before the First Day of the Conference Every Year.

The selection of a winner will be determined by a weighted poll consisting of a committee of subject-matter experts, conference attendees, and the public. The composition and weighting of this poll will be determined by the Competition Chair.

Participants from the previous competition may use the same video from previous competitions for the new competition, unless otherwise specified.

Winners will not be eligible to participate again for a period of 5 years.
